Evolution
The theme "Evolution" draws inspiration from the colourful transition to fall—the season that sheds its old layers to reveal bold new colours. Much like the trees turning gold, red, and orange, we too experience transformations that reshape who we are. Throughout October, we’ll explore our personal evolutions, reflecting on the moments that have caused us to change, grow, or let go of the past. Through storytelling and conversation, we’ll embrace how the seasons of life bring about new perspectives, and how, like fall, these shifts can be beautiful and powerful in their own right.
What to expect
Tribe Toronto is founded on the belief that everyone should have spaces to connect, share experiences and find the tribe for them. Therefore, our events are all designed to promote connection and deeper conversation. You will never be pressured to participate, if you are more inclined to hold space, learn, and listen, you still have a very important place here! Explore below for an in-depth look at the essence and format of our storytelling and facilitated dinner events. We are excited to host, celebrate and connect with you!
Storytelling
What's your story?
At the event: Doors will open 30 minutes before the event to allow attendees to get comfortable and mingle.
Introduction: The facilitators will start by explaining the event structure and guidelines, followed by an icebreaker to kick things off.
Experience Exchange: The main event will run for approximately 2 hours. Depending on attendance, there may be a time limit on each person's share. After each share, attendees can ask questions and offer enthusiastic, supportive, and positive comments. We will then applaud and cheer the sharer for their contribution.
No Set Order: There will be no set speaking order. You can take your turn any time you feel called to do so.
Post-Event Mingling: After the event, the room will remain open for another 30 minutes for continued conversations and we encourage you to stay in touch with anyone you connected with!
Facilitated Dinners
Dine with the tribe.
At the event: Diners can arrive up to 30 minutes before the event starts to settle in and mingle with fellow attendees.
Introductions: Once seated at their assigned spots, the hosts will begin with a brief round of introductions and outline some basic guidelines to ensure a respectful and enjoyable experience.
Question Rounds: Throughout the evening, the hosts will pose a series of questions based on the theme. Each guest will have a turn to answer, sharing their perspectives and experiences.
Toasting: At the end of every question round, we will raise our glasses and toast to our experiences and each other’s contributions, celebrating the stories shared.
Family-Style Dining: Dinner will be served family-style to align with our ethos of community. Feel free to dig in and enjoy.
Post-Event Mingling: After the event, the space will remain open for self-led continuing conversations between guests.

Give your full attention when someone is speaking. By actively listening, we honor each person's story and create a space where everyone feels heard and valued
Voluntary Participation
Share your stories when you feel comfortable. Recognize that listening and holding space for others is just as impactful as sharing your own experiences
